The very next day, the king and queen went back to their palace to prepare the plan they made the previous night while Christopher pleaded Mico to stay with them while he is in their country.

Tuesday morning, the detective they’ve hired arrived and handed the report to the king and queen. That would tell them where they found Gustavo.

Immediately, the king alerted everybody and sent a message to Vincent that Gustavo’s hideout had been found.

Another abandoned warehouse was the present hideout of Gustavo. There are no guards outside the area. Thing that made Mico think.

Mico, Christopher and Anathea were the only ones who entered the building. The authorities are just near the vicinity waiting for any developments.

They saw Gustavo seated on a rocking chair busy with his pipe.
Gustavo: I’ve been waiting for you. What took you so long?
Anathea: So, you know that we’re coming. Well, it doesn’t really matter.
Christopher: You better surrender. We mean no harm.
Gustavo: What do you think of me? A psycho. I will not go back to that filthy place.
Mico: Only a psycho can think of the terrible thoughts that come out of your mind.
Gustavo: You’re smarter than I thought.
Christopher: Surrender or else…
Gustavo: What? You’ll kill me. Go. Help yourself. I’m not afraid.
Anathea: What do you want?
Gustavo: All of your deaths. And of course, a swordfight with a future king.
Mico: You lost on me the last time. You still want to fight me.
Gustavo: This time I’ll win.
Mico: As you wish.

The duel started. Like before, Gustavo was the one who attacked first. Mico allowed him to attack and attack to exhaust him but Mico didn’t notice an incoming attack.

Gustavo made a wound in Mico’s arm that caused Mico to let loose of his sword from his grip.
Gustavo: Giving up?
Mico: Not to you… We will finish this. Aaaahhhh…
Anathea: Mico.
Gustavo: (Pointing his sword to Anathea) Don’t you dare come close.
Mico: Don’t put other people into this.

Mico is really angry now, in spite of the wound, which is still bleeding, he fought with Gustavo.

They were now in the dangerous part of the building that one wrong step can lead to your death.
Gustavo was now winning the battle because of the wound that Mico got. Mico was now lying on the floor trying to counter the force of Gustavo who was above him. Mico is thinking that if he will put all his force on this one last blow he can defeat Gustavo but he can put his life on risk. Mico had finally decided.

Gustavo fell from the topmost part of the building. He was dead on the spot.

The king and queen, Vincent, Christopher and Lorelei, Philippe and Mary and Anathea had just arrived from the funeral of Gustavo. They all had their lunch at the house of the earl and one by one, they said their goodbyes and went home.

After lunch, Anathea went straight to her room while Mico went straight also to his room.
After a few minutes, Anathea decided to go to the garden to get some fresh air. At the same time, Mico also decided to go to the garden to reminisce all the good times he had on the mansion.

Mico and Anathea met at the glass door leading to the garden, they looked at each other’s eye for a long time.

Both Mico and Anathea are on sitting in the garden but it seems that both of them don’t exist. Silence stayed with them for quite a time.

The ice melted when Anathea started the conversation because she knew Mico wouldn’t start it no matter what happens.
Anathea: It’s been a long time since we last talked.
Mico: Right.
Anathea: I would like to tell you something.

Mico is bothered of what she would tell him. Will she open the topic that happened years ago?
Anathea: About the letter, I already know that even before you came.
Mico: That was the thing you’re going to tell me?
Anathea: Why?
Mico: Nothing. Back to the letter, if you already know it, then why did you not tell anyone?
Anathea: I was trying to solve it on my own.
Mico: That was not heroism, sorry for the word but that’s stupidity.
Anathea: It’s my entire fault. All he wanted was the throne and he thinks I stole it away from him.
Mico: It’s not your fault or anybody’s. Ok.
Anathea: Thanks.
Mico: For what?
Anathea: For assuring me and for not blaming me. I needed that.

Mico answered back with a smile. Silence again engulfed them. Mico this time started the conversation.
Mico: Have you forgiven me?
Anathea: Not sure.
Mico: What will be my sign?
Anathea: When I call you by your real name…
Mico: Ok. I have to go.
Anathea: Where are you going?
Mico: To the palace.
Anathea: Why/
Mico: They have something to tell me.
Anathea: Ok. Take care.

Mico forgot something in his room so he decided to go there first before proceeding to the palace. Mico was happy that they could talk now but it’s still incomplete, she hasn’t forgiven him yet.

When Mico opened the door of his room, Anathea was smiling at him.
Anathea: Elixir. What a cute name! Who could that be? I heard that he’s handsome and he’s a perfect gentleman. Do you know him by any chance?
Mico was so shocked that he was speechless.
Anathea: Elixir, are you okay?

Mico ruche to Anathea and hugged her very tightly as if he will never let her go anymore.
Anathea: I can’t breathe.
Mico: Sorry… I’m just so happy. Wohoo!!!

When Mico arrived at the palace, Gegard is waiting for him at the garden.
Gegard: Elixir, have a seat.
Mico: Thank you. What is it about?
Gegard: Don’t be in a hurry. What kind of coffee do you want?
Mico: Black.
Gegard: I just want to ask you something.
Mico: Go ahead.
Gegard: Do you love Anathea?
Mico: You know my answer. I love her very much. I’m willing to give my life for her.
Gegard: Do you want to spend your life with her?
Mico: I want her to be my queen.
Gegard gave Mico an envelope with an invitation inside.
Mico: What is this?
Gegard: Open it.
Mico: An invitation for the engagement party of Elixir and Anathea.
Gegard: You, two, are the only ones who doesn’t know about the engagement.
Mico: What does this means?
Gegard: Even before you met, you are already engaged. In fact, the day you left is originally the day of your engagement party and the party where you saved her is where the supposed ceremonies will happen.
Mico: I thought the party was the coronation.
Gegard: We, your parents and us are planning to unite our kingdoms. The only way is tie the deal by the marriage of the successors. It’s a good thing that nobody recognized you at the party.
Mico: Did Vincent know this?
Gegard: Yes, Vincent, Amadea, Nathan, Erin and me. We don’t want you to marry her just because we told you so. We want you to marry her because you love her.
Mico: But the engagement party is four days from now. How will be the preparations?
Gegard: Everything is already settled. Don’t worry about it.
After the conversation, Mico bid his goodbye to Gegard.

Morning came; there are only two plates on the table. As usual, Anathea arrived first in the breakfast table.
Anathea: Why are only two plates here?
Butler: Your brother is still asleep and your father is busy and he refuses to go out.
Anathea: So that means only me and Mico will be eating?
Mico: Good morning.
Anathea: Good morning. How’s your sleep?
Mico: Great. Where are Christopher and Vincent?
Anathea: At their rooms.
Mico: Only the two of us?
Anathea: Yes. Why are you smiling like that?
Mico: Nothing.

While Anathea and Mico are eating their breakfast, they are back to what they use to be. They stopped talking for a while. They are busy on what they are eating.

Anathea was drinking water when Mico held her other hand.
Anathea: What’s wrong?
Mico: If ever the say comes that I asked you to spend the rest of your life with me, would you say yes?
Anathea: Probably… I don’t know.

Mico pulled a little box from his pocket. Still holding Anathea’s hand, he helped her stand and her got down on his knees and opened the box, inside it was a beautiful diamond ring.
Mico: Will you be my queen?
Anathea: You’re kidding, right?
Mico: I’m serious.
Anathea: Oh, my God…
Mico: Will you?
Anathea smiled…
Mico: Does that mean yes?

Anathea nodded…

Mico put the ring on Anathea’s finger.

Mico told Anathea everything that Gegard told him. Anathea was very nervous when she found out that their engagement party is only a few days to go. But she was relieved to know that everything is already settled.

Vincent: Ehem…
Christopher: Already done?
Vincent: Wish I watched the proposal.
Christopher: Yeah, the kneeling part was worth the watch.
Anathea: You were there all these time.

And they all laughed…
